The number one rule? This needs to feel and look like you. It’s shot on a plain background for a reason - to help keep the focus on the people. So, the most popular choices seem to be:

2. Coordinated palette - earth tones, neutrals, often considered if you know where you’re putting the framed print.

3. Holiday theme - pjs, holiday-inspired colours, formal wear. Anything that helps support the time of year and season.

4. Matching outfits - denim and white or dark t-shirts is the most popular option that tends to work in any space and stand the test of time and seasons.

This session will come with five images (picked at photographer’s discretion) that are shot in 10 minutes. They can be any combo, and one session is a popular choice for parents with two kids (individual shots of each kid + a shot of them together, + family shot(s)). Typically, more time + more shots are needed if there are more than three kids. If this is you and you want the holiday card option, then book one spot for Option 1 and one spot for Option 2. That will get it done.

Photos will be delivered by email with a dropbox link for downloading files.

Custom holiday cards and framed keepsake will be shipped within [insert SLA].

Part of why our photographer Jen loves her job + part of what she tries to accomplish is capturing (+ supporting) kids as their authentic selves. And this can mean so many things: shy, active, outgoing, nervous etc. And all of that is OK! It’s very rare that things don’t go smoothly and we’re able to capture some fun shots with the right support. So stick with us and know your kid will be fully supported and encouraged. Just as they are.

Well, this is an important question. And the answer can change depending on the child, that’s for sure. But the best thing we can BOTH do is take your child’s lead. And trust us, they may surprise you! I understand every parent wants to help get the most out of every session, including lots of smiles, and we’ll be working hard to connect with your child to build trust and have some fun! So don’t worry, we’ll guide you (but please stay out of standing directly in front of the light!) ;)
